In the spirit of early 19th Century American muralist Rufus Porter, who was active in the New England states during the 1830s, our Porter Room features an authentic, queen size, pencil post canopy bed and some of our most treasured antiques: a circa 1825 birds-eye maple early American Empire chest of drawers with companion birds-eye maple side table and a circa 1800 Shaker rocker.
