Authentically restored, the Schoolmaster's House is a wonderful example of the fine, yet understated, craftsmanship of early Canadian pioneer builders.
Your private bedroom and our public areas are furnished with antiques and artwork typical to the era and reflective of the style in which the home's early occupants may have lived.
Here you will find early Canadiana, American Empire and Victorian motifs-even a touch of French Country--with our special emphasis on comfort, elegance and an understanding for personal privacy.
The dining room and parlour have back-to-back wood burning fireplaces and an abundance of reading materials is available. A full-course breakfast is served in our dining room and includes a selection of daily baked goods and sweets and, in season, Niagara peaches and plums grown outside our own back door!
For those who insist on rising with the sun, a 7:30 am coffee and tea service is available, to your door, with a copy of the day's Globe and Mail.
During your stay, please feel free to enjoy a stroll in our gardens, with its lovely pond, and to find a cozy place to relax, to chat with fellow travelers, or simply to doze.
Our guestrooms have extra comfortable feather-top canopy beds, full private ensuite bath and walk-in shower and reading areas where you can relax at the start or the finish to your day. Modern conveniences include cable enabled 15" flat screen television, clock alarm, wine-water cooler, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer and toiletries.
Our home and property are smoke-free, pet-free and adult only.
